One of the amazing aspects of the Invisalign system is its ability to let us use advanced 3D computer-imaging which allows us to preview your smile before any treatment has started. It’s a fantastic way to show you exactly how Invisalign can improve your smile.

After we take an impression of your teeth, we digitally map them and design a personalised treatment specifically for you- showing the exact movement of your teeth and how long your treatment will take to get the results you want.

Then we create the first of a series of aligners that you wear and then replace every two weeks.

How do clear aligners work?

The fitting, adjustment and removal of braces will not hurt at all. However, especially after an adjustment or changing to a new aligner, your teeth may ache slightly for a few days. This is easily treated with the over-the-counter pain relief of your choice such as ibuprofen or paracetamol.

How long does it take?

Treatment time depends on the complexity of the treatment but teeth straightening with clear aligners can take as little as 4 months. The average treatment time is between 6-12 months.

Can you see the aligners?

The aligners are made from a clear plastic and some people may not even notice you are wearing them. Our patients prefer these to traditional orthodontics as it means no metal train tracks.
